Lead gen
ACCELERATED

Less worry. More sales. Transform your IT Services website.

Your website is failing you.

90% of tech services businesses fail in 10 years. 63% fail in the first 5 years alone. And now that AI is eating our lunch, it's crucial your company stand out from the pack.

Easier said than done, right?

Well, here's the thing. When it comes to turning your website into a sales powerhouse, the secret is actually very simple. Better yet, the majority of your competitors don't use it.

What's the secret?

Clients don't care about your services. They buy solutions to their problems.

That's it!

And if your website can tap into your target clients' needs and show them you can fix their problems? Boom! That's rocket fuel for lead gen.

But instead, you're probably making the #1 mistake tech services businesses make on their websites.

Your tech skills don't matter

Okay, I know, I know. I'll rephrase...

Your tech skills don't matter on your website.

I get it. I've been a digital strategist, software engineer, and tech writer for over 25 years. I understand you want to prove your expertise. But decades of research into user-centered digital strategy reveals that that's not what potential clients look for on a website.

They want to know you can solve their problem!

But don't take our word for it. A recent study by Deloitte consulting found that customer-centric companies are 60% more profitable.

60%!

Now take a look at your homepage or landing pages. Do they focus on client needs and pain points? Or do they list the features, apps, technology, or services you provide?

If so, you're leaving money on the table.

Our Accelerated method can help you profit from it instead.

Why lists of services don't sell

Recently, I was in a meeting with a Senior Level exec and made an off-hand comment about his site's CSS.

"What's CSS again?" he asked.

Oops.

If you're not familiar, CSS is fundamental website tech. All web professionals instantly comprehend how this tech benefits a web project... But this senior leader had no idea. Zip. Ziltch. And why should he?

Of course, he understood it when I explained it to him — when I connected the dots for him.

And that's the inherent problem with lists of services on your site.

They make the prospect connect the dots.

a business woman looking confused

As a technologist, you have an inherent understanding of your technology's benefits that your prospective clients don't. Your website should be connecting the dots for them.

What about clients in the tech industry?

Sure, if your B2B focuses on selling to the tech industry, they probably speak the same lingo as you. But the flaw is the same. Just because they know what the tech is, it still doesn't mean they know how it will benefit them. Or, how your implementation of it will benefit them.

Besides, if you're just providing lists of services/tech like 99% of your competitors, why would a prospect choose your company over one of those others?

By flipping the narrative with our Accelerated method, you're gaining a huge competitive edge.

The Accelerated method in action

Let's look at a real recommendation. We've removed anything to identify the specific company.

a web design company's hero area, described below in the article

As you can see, they're a web design and marketing agency. The tagline reads:

We create experiences that innovate, inspire, and ignite your brand. Let's work together.

A Google search returns about 366,000 results for companies that do the exact same thing. How does this one ever hope to differentiate itself?

And be honest, for a company that claims to inspire and innovate, does anything in this ho-hum hero area do that? Even the hero image itself shows a grayed out picture of blocky, uninspired wireframes.

If I'm a client that wants an inspiring website that will make me stand out, does this one illustrate that? I don't think so.

Here's my quick take on an alternative.

the company's hero area adjusted by Ripple Effect consulting, described below in the article

Bold, exploding colors emphasize how the company will ignite my brand with exciting possibilities.

The adjusted tagline reads:

Website design and marketing. Experiences that innovate, inspire, and ignite your brand.

Could even be refined to:

Website design and marketing. Experiences that innovate and inspire.

The point is — a few small, customer-focused changes allowed the site to illustrate the kind of inspiring design that a prospective client is looking for.

Ripple Effect Consulting can make this same kind of transformative change for you as well. Register for a free evaluation.
